A dental implant is a small titanium post that replaces a missing tooth root, topped with a ceramic crown that looks and functions like your own tooth. Every implant at LUMINA is planned on a 3D CBCT scan and placed with a surgical guide, so the procedure is precise, predictable and gentler than most patients expect.

Expected timeline: Typically 3–6 months from placement to final crown. Where a tooth must be removed first, healing may add 6–12 weeks.

Questions
Most single implants take three to six months from placement to final crown, largely healing time. The surgical visit itself typically takes about an hour.
The placement is done under local anaesthetic and most patients report less discomfort than an extraction. Sedation is available for anxious patients.
There is no upper age limit. Bone quality, gum health and general health matter — all assessed at your consultation.
